Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association

Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association is the governing body of the Cricket activities in the Madhya Pradesh state of India and the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.This association was earlier known as Holkar Cricket Association.

Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association affiliated to the Board of control for cricket in India is the parent body or governing the game of Cricket in Madhya Pradesh, and involved in the conduct of the game from the grass root level to the International level. Cricket Administrators like Late Mr A.W.Kanmadikar Former BCCI secretary and Vice President and Late Mr Madhavrao scindia former President Of BCCI and Mr Sanjay Jagdale presently Jt.Secretary Of BCCI hails from this association.This association is one of the few cricket associations affiliated to BCCI where all the elections for all the posts so far have been unopposed.

The present President of this association is Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia (Union minister of State) and Secretary is Mr Narendra Menon. Formerly this post was held by Mr.Sanjay Jagdale.For the first time in the history of this Association election was held in 2010. Mr Jyotirditya scindia and his team were elected by a wide margin. Scindia(JR) defeted Mr Kailash Vijayvagiya Industry minister of the state by more than 70 votes out of total 216. Others elected were Dr MK Bhargav as Chairman, Vijay Nayudu, Bhagwandas Suthar and Mr. Shravan Gupta as Vice President, Mr Vasu Gangwani Treasurer.

The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association promotes and develops Cricket by conducting various League Tournaments,Tournaments for the age group Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, and Under-19, Under-22 and Under-25 categories besides organising and conducting National Tournaments.

M.P.Cricket Association has now state of art cricket stadium at Indore which is named as HOLKAR STADIUM.

MPCA also takes pride in organising many international matches. already two international ODI's have been organised at the newly built HOLKAR stadium.

NOW MPCA is gearing up for the IPL4 matches, Kochi Tuskers have decided to have two home matches at Holkar stadium, Indore on 13th and 15th May 2011.

Under the able dynamic leadership of Srimant Jyotiraditya Scindia and his proactive team, IPL at HOLKAR STADIUM vouches to be a spectacle.
